2019 LCK Playoffs schedule announced, Finals to be held at Jamsil Arena

On the 18th of March, Riot Korea announced the details for the upcoming 2019 LCK Spring Split Playoffs. The first three matches of the Playoffs will be held at LoL Park. The Spring Split finals will be held at Jamsil Arena, on the 13th of April.

According to the official press release by Riot Korea, the top five teams from the Spring Split will participate in a King of the Hill, single elimination bracket tournament, starting from the 3rd of April. The Wildcard Round will be held as a best-of-three match, while the Round 1, Round 2 and Finals will be held as a best-of-five match. The eventual winner of the Playoffs will qualify for the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational.

As of the 19th of March, only Griffin has qualified for the Spring Split Playoffs. SANDBOX Gaming, SK Telecom T1, Kingzone DragonX, DAMWON Gaming and Hanwha Life Esports are also thought to be strong contenders for spots in the Playoffs.

The venue of the grand finals, Jamsil Arena is located at Songpa-gu, Seoul, South Korea. According to the statistics provided by the Seoul City Council, the indoor arena can hold up to 11,000 attendees.

The last time that the LCK finals were held at Jamsil Arena was for the 2016 LCK Summer Split finals, 2016 August 16th. KT Rolster and ROX Tigers played a best-of-five game, ROX Tigers eventually coming out victorious.
