After parting ways with team veterans such as Kang “Ambition” Chan-yong and Lee “Crown” Min-ho, fans expressed concern over the direction of Gen.G’s future roster. Today, Gen.G announced that they have renewed contracts with former World Champions Lee “Cuvee” Seong-jin and Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk. Gen.G also retained Song “Fly” Yong-jun, the mid laner who had performed well during Summer, replacing Crown who had underperformed in the prior split. Life, trainee support in the team, had also decided to stay for another year.
With an empty spot in the jungler role, fans and experts alike will be wondering who will come to bring Gen.G back to glory. With rumours of prestigious players such as Han “Peanut” Wang-ho being hinted, only time will tell for Gen.G 2019 roster.
