Head coach NoFe leaves Afreeca Freecs

Afreeca Freecs announced on the 9th of November that they have parted ways with their head coach Jeong “NoFe” No-chul.

Following the recent news of their re-signing of their top laner Kiin, Afreeca Freecs announced their first change in the coaching staff.

NoFe is notable for his contribution to the ROX Tigers, which he had led as head coach for 3 years before their rebranding. He has experience in the LPL as well, having coached the Chinese team EDward Gaming.

There have been many head coaches that have parted ways with their team this offseason. KT announced in October the departure of ZanDarC from the team, as well as Hanwha Life’s OnAir and Sandbox Gaming’s Sally. Most notably, former Griffin head coach cvMax had left his team days before the World Championship and has already joined a new team in the DragonX.

Afreeca Freecs has rebuilt their roster going into the 2019 season, relying on younger generation of players. They concluded their season with a loss to DragonX in the Regional Qualifiers, missing out on the 2019 World Championship.
